What archives are finished with one or two volumes are there already?

It doesn't have to have the second volume yet, I just want to know which series I have a better chance of completing, since I am both a completionist and limited-archive-budget.

Black Canary is the only done-in-one that is already out.

Challengers of the Unknown is essentially a done-in-two for now (just the Kirby issues). Volume 1 has just been announced. Volume 2 will be done, but we don't know when. I think we all assume next year.

Starman is done-in-two, but its been a long time since volume 1 came out.

I think Spectre is done-in-one for now. It's actually done-in-two. Most of the later Golden Age stories feature a sidekick (that might not be the best term to use) named Percival Popp, the Super Cop (who wasn't super), and someone has said that DC isn't in a hurry to Archive this. I do think there will be another Spectre volume, but it will be the Silver Age version, volume 1.

I'm not sure about Enemy Ace. It's not done, but I'm not certain if DC plans to continue it or not. I think the 2nd volume would complete the classic period, but other people are more qualified than me to tell you about that.

Depending on where you draw the line, Doom Patrol, Hawkman, and Atom are all short runs that are very good reading. I draw the line with the last issue of Atom and Hawkman and the last issue of the original Doom Patrol run, but some people would consider these series incomplete if they stopped there. If they do stop there, I think that all of them will be 4 or 5 volumes total.

I'm not sure how serious you are about complete. There really isn't a guarantee that any series will be completed, so you may want to consider All-Star, JLA, and Legion if you get some more money. All-Star will be completed in 11 volumes, 8 are out now. JLA has completed the Fox/Sekowsky run (8 volumes?, I don't remember). Legion is up to 12 volumes. The Adventure and Action runs are complete. Legion is now up to the 70s which makes it feasible to track down the back issues for anything that isn't Archived.

Feel free to campaign for my favorite done-in-three: the first 24 issues of The Brave and the Bold featuring Viking Prince, Silent Knight, Robin Hood, and Golden Gladiator with art by Joe Kubert, Irv Novick, and Russ Heath.

I forgot to mention the Neal Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow and Deadman collections. They are more expensive than Archives, but they are both done-in-one. All of the GL/GA and most of the Deadman stuff has been reprinted in cheaper formats, if you can find them. For me, it wasn't worth the money, but if you've never read these stories, they might be good places to start.
